Il favoloso mondo di Patty – il Promo
Un progetto di danza teatro tratto e ispirato da una storia vera, quella di Patrizia, una donna sorda che ha scelto di operarsi a entrambe le orecchie per poter sentire in modo più profondo, mentre prima il senso dell’udito era totalmente affidato a protesi acustiche e alla lettura delle labbra. Questa scelta ha dato un’importante svolta alla sua vita.
“Fino a tre anni fa portavo le protesi acustiche. Poi ho cominciato a sentire che mi stavano troppo strette e ho deciso, con l’ok del medico, di farmi operare per poter mettere gli impianti. Dopo quasi tre anni di riabilitazione per poter sentire in modo nuovo, ho avuto una bellissima sorpresa: ho cominciato ad emozionarmi ascoltando delle canzoni. La cosa bella è che non me lo aspettavo, non avevo nemmeno messo in conto di poterci riuscire”.
La storia si racconta attraverso gli occhi di Dina, la madre di Patrizia, per anni casellante al gabbiotto dei treni di fianco a casa e quelli della figlia Sofia, una quasi adolescente, molto legata alla mamma, che si è abituata fin da subito a capirla facendo quasi esclusivamente la lettura delle labbra, ai tempi delle protesi acustiche.
Patrizia, Dina e Sofia, tre soggetti femminili ritratti in gesti ordinari e quotidiani, in una cornice temporale che si snoda tra presente, passato, tra il ricordo e il sogno.
Tre generazioni che nello scorrere del tempo ci regalano un racconto straordinario.

A dance project inspired by the real story of Patrizia, a deaf woman who decided to operate both of her ears in order to try to listen in a better way, taking off permanently her hearing aids.
“Since 3 year ago I wore my hearing aids. But I felt they didn’t really fit with my needs. I wanted more. I wanted to try with the hearing implantation. After almost 3 years of listening re-education useful to learn a different way of listening, I was surprised because I started to feel emotions listening to the music. Something new. And what I liked the most was that it was unexpected. I really didn’t consider it would be really possible for me”. (Patrizia Trombella).
The story is told through Dina’s eyes, the mother of Patrizia, always by her side, for a long-time level crossing attendant close to the house and through Sofia’s eyes, daughter of Patrizia, almost teenager very attached to the mother who can only was able to understand her by lip movements.
Patrizia, Dina e Sofia, three strong female character looked in their daily gestures, extraordinary in an articulated timeframe: from the past to the present, between memories and dreams.
Three generations who are giving us a look aimed to the pursuit of freedom to feel the emotions beyond the capacity of listening.
